Capcom Issues Takedown to YouTuber GrizzoUK Over Mods

Capcom has issued a takedown demand to British YouTuber GrizzoUK, requiring him to remove over 1,000 videos featuring adult-oriented costume mods for Resident Evil Requiem. The video game publisher’s legal team contacted the streamer and stated that the mods were ‘adult-orientated’ and inconsistent with Capcom’s Terms of Service, as well as relevant copyright and intellectual property laws. GrizzoUK complied with the request after questioning why his channel was singled out when similar mod showcases appear on many other YouTube channels.

Capcom’s Takedown Demand

In a stream discussing the takedown, GrizzoUK expressed uncertainty about the future of his content. ‘Obviously I can’t do costume mods no more, but I’m sure I can do weapon mods as I’ve seen many weapon mods be done and not removed,’ he said, adding that the move may mark the beginning of the end for costume mods on his channel. Despite the removal of the listed videos, GrizzoUK’s channel remains active and continues to host other modded content, including lingerie and bikini mods for titles such as The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered and Stellar Blade.
